Our friend and bartender, Sean, created this riff on a classic martini. Two types of coffee are paired with gin, citrus and our cherry syrup. The cocktail is both dry and sweet, both light and complex. One of our favorite recipes Sean’s developed in a long list of really delicious ones. Hope you enjoy it too. Cheers, friends.
Cherry Perk
Serves 1
1.5 oz London dry gin
.75 oz nitrogen infused cold brew (iced coffee will also work in a pinch)
.5 oz kumquat or orange liqueur
.5 oz Orasella cherry syrup
.25 oz coffee liqueur
lemon and 2 Orasella cherries to garnish
Add liquid ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with cubed ice. Shake thoroughly until well chilled. Double strain into a coupe or a martini glass. Allow cocktail to sit and form coffee foam on the surface. Pare a lemon peel, and express (pinch) the back of the lemon peel over the cocktail. Discard peel. Garnish with 2 cherries.
